Day 316 - I Learned...

I learned food photography is way harder then it looks! Thanks to Jen and all her amazing tips I decided to try out some food photography. This is the best I could come up with :O) Maybe I need LOTS more practice :O)

Like I have mentioned before we are slowly trying to cut out processed food. Almost a year ago, we decided not to buy anymore store bought cookies. The idea being if we were going to eat sweet then I would make them and it would help us from eating too many. Our only weakness is...OREOS!! We love Oreos and will buy them every so often. Oreos have been through everything with me - moving away from friends in high school, going through break-ups in college, and just hanging out with girlfriends enjoying our oreo, milk, and peanut butter :O)

I LOVE this. The green tints, the pink background, the sidelighting, the oreos (i'm obsessed too). One of my favorites of yours.

Way to go for cutting out processed food...that can be tough! Good 'ol Oreos, what would we do without them!

My little critique on this shot (if you want it)....Sometimes it helps if you use a smaller print in your background. I have found that the larger prints can distract from the food, and the detail in the print gets lost anyways when its blurred. I like the green tint on the edge of the plate and the stacking is fun. I would even put a glass of milk in the background to disguise that horizon line a bit and make it more interesting. Nice job girl!

Jen did a fantastic job hosting your blog and offering wonderful tips and tricks for photographing food. You studied well, your example it fabulous. You have exactly the right amount of Oreos in your tower! Question is were you able to take several shots or did the tower decrease by one after each shot!
