Day 354

We went to Trisha's house today to decorate cookies and have a little "kids Christmas party".  There were tons of yummy cookies and sprinkles for everyone.  When it was Emma's turn she only wanted to eat her cookie and you better not even think about putting any decorations on it.  I added an extra picture to show what it really looks like when me and my friends get together :O)

I Learned...

I learned I'm obsessed with collages. I have used tons of them on my family blog :O) I spent most of nap time yesterday creating some of my own. It's a fun new obsession :O)

Day 349

Our sweet neighbors asked me to take their photos before their big ball.  I had wonderful plans to take a pretty backlighting photo outside.  Unfortunately, it rained all day :O(  Instead, they had to suffer through with a photo in front of my crazy seafoam green walls.  So sorry!

Day 344

We took the girls to Cocok's this morning for a kids pedicure as part of their Christmas present.  We decided to make the time even special and left Emma with Kathleen.  Kate was so excited for some "Mommy and Kate" time.  We met Mimi and Trisha for breakfast first.  The girls enjoyed their water and heart shaped pancakes.  They both loved the nail art and now have matching Hello Kitty toes!

Day 332

I am thankful to have friends who will let me take pictures of them for lessons on my Click It Up a Notch blog :O) Trisha was kind enough to head over to a friend's background so I could take pictures using different apertures to show the difference. First off, our friend has an amazing backyard! I'm so glad she said we could come and take pictures there! You will probably see some more in the near future :O) I love this one of Trisha because it is so her :O)

Day 328

I know I'm behind...oops :O) I had the honor of photographing a friend's family and I wanted to use one of those photos for my picture, which meant I had to edit, which is why I'm behind :O) They have such a beautiful little family but this was one of my favorites. What is it about little ones playing peek-a-boo that is so stinkin' cute :O)

Day 325

We went to brunch today to celebrate a friend's son's baptism :O) As we were leaving we told all the kids to line up at the door (anything to get them to stop running around). Next thing we know they have made themselves a little choo-choo train :O)

I Learned...

I learned I like to do photo shoots for other families! I know I mentioned this earlier in the week but I'm still so surprised by this revelation :O) Now as my friend Megan said I have to start thinking "do I want to do it, or not". Going "pro" was never in a plan of mine and you know how much of a planner I am. Guess I have lots of thinking and praying to do about the matter!! Don't forget to check out what others learned on my Click It Up a Notch blog. Come over and post a picture. You know you want to :O)

Day 322

Happy Birthday to my friend, Stephanie! After she instructed our exercise class, we headed over to Cinnabon to eat all those calories we just worked off. I can always count on Stephanie for an animated photo!

Day 321

I learned I really do like to photograph other families! I have always said I didn't have any plans to become a "professional" photographer but I may like it after all. I had the BEST time tonight photographing a dear friend's family!! I was super nervous but I had so much fun. They were so great to work with! I think I got a few good ones but this is my favorite by far! If you want to see some more of the shots check them out on my Click It Up a Notch blog.

Day 310

We headed to a friend's house for pizza tonight. Trisha decided to paint the girls' faces :O) They loved them and were having fun being butterflies, until Trisha tried to wash the paint off her fingers and the purple wasn't coming off. Normally, that would not be a problem but tomorrow is Emma's baptism and I really didn't want Kate's face to be stained purple. I panic and wash it off her face but it wasn't until we got out the make-up remover that it really started to come off :O) What is funny is as we were driving home I realized Ian got a sunburn on his face today and I got my hair colored (much darker then I wanted) so really a purple face on Kate would have looked fine :O)

Day 300 - Tuesday Me

Day 300!!! Who can believe that I have stuck with this for 300 days!! I know I can't :O)

Because of the Typhoon heading our way and all the rain, we weren't able to go to the park. Instead, I headed over to Trisha's house to make peanut butter. Yes, I said peanut butter. Now I know all my friends are saying "who is this girl? running in 5ks and now making peanut butter". I am slowly learning to feed my family better and turn into an adult :O) Trisha just got a vitamix, so we wanted to test out making peanut butter. It makes me almost want to buy one. It was SO easy! Pour in peanuts and push the button. Crazy!! The funny thing was as she was using a wooden spatula to move it around the spatula broke right in half! It was hilarious! Obviously, more funny if you were there but we couldn't stop laughing :O)

Day 263

Yes, I'm not in the shot but it makes me so happy! I do Stroller Strides 3 days a week (I hate working out) so I go to hang out with these great ladies. I guess I'm kind of paying for friends he he. Today I took my camera to get some candid shots for my online class. As you can see this is not one of them but it may be my favorite photo right now :O) Thanks for being such great sports ladies!!

Day 226

We decided to venture back to Bios on the Hill so that Trisha, Kathleen, and I could go crazy taking pictures. Unfortunately, it is August on a tropical island and it is HOT!! The kids were troopers until they hit the wall from lack of sleep. We had fun and a lot of laughs, from the kids trying to take a goat on a walk to the adults trying to walk on stilts. I love how Japanese places always set up an area for a "photo op" :O) I have turned into a crazy woman and brought my tripod and remote with me so I could get a group shot...I mean I need to document this part of our life too. What you can't see is that there are 3 more kids in the stroller (Emma on top of one, and in each stroller is a 3 month old and a 2 month old) that is right 7 kids and 3 adults!

P.S. Do you ever have one of those photography brain fart moments? I did when I was setting up for this. I set everyone in the dead center of the photo (rookie mistake :O) There are more beautiful orchids above us. I guess that is the point of this project, to learn from my mistakes :O)

Day 155

Earlier this week, Kate's sweet friend, Mimi, turned 3. We were invited to go get pedi's with her today. It was such a sweet treat for Kate. She didn't seem too excited when I first told her because I don't think she understood what was going on. When I told her she was going with Mimi to Cocok's she actually threw her arms around my neck. It was adorable. Here are the girls enjoying their pedicures. At first they were terrified but eventually warmed up :O)

Day 145

Trisha came over today with sweet little Elliot! He was precious to photo! Unfortunately, he was not a fan of the cocoon so I didn't get my photo set up right before I started shooting :O) Oh well, I just hope I got a couple that Trisha will like :O) Here is one of my favorites of him in the cocoon. I just want to eat him up!!
