Day 192

Emma's first hair cut :O) I let Kate's hair grow into a mullet by accident because I was so scared to cut it. Poor kiddo! I vowed not to put Emma through that :O) Honey cut her hair for the first time today. She didn't love it and kept shaking her head back and forth (her latest trick :O)

Honey had a surprise for Kate today! She was so excited and showed everyone her pretty nails. This was a first since I have not painted her fingernails yet, just her toes :O)

Day 188

It took some convincing but she actually did jump into the pool with Papa! (Her look cracks me up!) She is getting so brave! Such a huge change from last summer when she wouldn't even put her toe in the water at the beach :O)

Day 185

Happy 4th of July!!! We spent the afternoon at the beach and I have decided that 3pm is the best time to go :O) Then everyone came over for a cookout and to watch fireworks. Unfortunately, the wind was blowing like crazy and we were only able to see about half of the firework show because the smoke from the fireworks were blocking our view. Oh well! The kiddos didn't care :O)

Day 178

Papa's here!! My dad arrived safely tonight, which means everyone is here except my brother, Joe. We miss you! The kids were so excited and like Honey's arrival we were able to find these "I heart Papa" shirts. I know this is kind of "snap shoty" but not sure how to get all four grandkids together looking natural at the airport :O)

Day 72

Yesterday (for me) but today for you guys in the states (March 12th) marks my mom's three year anniversary of surviving her skiing accident. Three years ago our family was celebrating our belated Christmas vacation in Keystone, CO. It was day number 2 of skiing and I received the WORST phone call from my dad saying my mom had been in a skiing accident and was getting on a helicopter to Denver in 5 minutes, so if we wanted to see her we needed to get from the lodge to the medic clinic. I was six months pregnant with Kate and it was the most scared I had ever been! She broke 6 ribs, punctured her lung, and broke her leg in 2 places. Thankfully, God gave her the strength to survive that terrible day!! So in honor of you, Honey (as the grandkids call her) we made your favorite...Heath Bar Cookies! Here's to you!! Glad you are out celebrating life with Dad tonight :O) We love you and can not imagine life without you!!!
